This week the town LOST $7,800 in revenue and abused mutual aid from other towns six times!

      Hi Liz

As I stated in responses to your previous comment, the Select Board has approved the Fire Chief moving toward ALS certification along with changes found in the MRI report (presentations and the report itself can be found here: https://www.townofholliston.us/select-board/pages/2021-2022-project-study-reports-information). The results of the changes will reduce the need for mutual aid from surrounding towns and generate additional revenue. Town Meeting in October has approved the first steps toward implementing the report.

This is an ongoing process with multiple steps that take time.

Your continous harping on the lack of current ALS and use of mutual aid adds nothing to the conversation or speeds up the process for obtaining such certification. As Select Chair Sparrell and others have noted, the process has started and will take time and energy to finalize. The Town is committed to bringing home grown ALS services to Holliston. I applaud the efforts of the residents, Town officials, and Fire Safety/EMS personnel to bring this to fruition. Thanks for all you do.
