Francis R. Pannacciulli at 89

Francis R. Pannacciulli, 89, of Holliston, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, with his family surrounding him. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Anna (Di’Leo) and Anthony Pannacciulli. He was the devoted husband of 66 years to Louisann (Colombel) Pannacciulli of Holliston.

Francis, known as Frank to friends and Chicky to close family, proudly served in the Air Force as an aerial photographer. When he was stationed in Germany, he met the love of his life, Louisann, a French girl, at a dance hall in Luxembourg. There the two fell in love and discovered they were born four days apart on 2 different continents. Soon they were planning to reunite in the United States to wed as soon as Louisann could get her visa. Even in the end, Frank spoke of his love for Louisann to the nurses who cared for him. His dream was to open a photo lab, which came to fruition when he opened Panna Photo. He loved to travel and especially loved boating in Narragansett Bay on the Christina and later the Louisann. He also enjoyed puttering in the garden and tinkering in his workshop. He was very smart, could fix anything, and his daughter as a little girl would often say Daddy-Fix-It whenever something needed fixing. When his granddaughter was little, she gave him the nickname Frankenstein. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and was always interested in what they were doing. He loved to attend family dinners, was a warm and welcoming man, had a good sense of humor, and was generous to everyone he met often welcoming guests into their home whether relatives or friends.

Besides his wife, Francis is survived by two children, Christine Moyer and her husband, Clinton of Upton and John Paul Pannacciulli of Holliston. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert Pannacciulli and his wife, Edie of Pitman, NJ; his grandchildren, Grant Moyer and his wife, Jessica Cashman and Annelise Moyer; his nephews, Michael Pannacciulli and James Pannacciulli and his wife, Molly, and his beloved cats.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org
