Under the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s Water Management Act Permit to the Town of Holliston, the Holliston Water Department is mandated to impose a Water Ban every year on nonessential outdoor water use; the Water Ban is effective May 1st to September 30th.

Properties with EVEN STREET NUMBERS may water lawns on TUESDAY and THURSDAY before 9:00AM and after 5:00PM. You may also wash vehicles, wash exterior building surfaces, wash down driveways and walkways – using handheld hose with nozzle attached.

Properties with ODD STREET NUMBERS may water lawns on WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY before 9:00AM and after 5:00PM. You may also wash vehicles, wash exterior building surfaces, wash down driveways and walkways – using handheld hose with nozzle attached.

SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, and MONDAYS There Is No Outdoor Water Usage During the Hours Of 9:00am And 5:00pm. Handheld hose use only BEFORE 9:00am and AFTER 5:00pm.

Any person who violates any provision of this by-law may be penalized by a noncriminal disposition as provided in General Laws Chapter 40, Section 21D, any person who violates any provision of this by-law shall be subject to a penalty in the amount of a warning for the first offense, one hundred dollars ($100) for the second offense, and two hundred dollars ($200) for each subsequent offense. Each day or portion thereof shall constitute a separate offense. Each condition violated shall constitute a separate offense.
