Children’s Library December Happenings

YMCA Play, Learn & Grow ages 0-8 and caregivers: Mondays 11:00-12:00pm

The literacy-based playgroup includes a feature book themed activity, sensory and manipulative play, gross motor activities, circle time with stories and songs, and a spot for babies to play and explore! Each week Project ABC brings new and exciting themes to the playgroups and are now focusing on SATEM and STEAM activities.

Tales and Tunes for Tots: ages 1.5 – 5 and siblings: Wednesdays 10:15 am except December 25th

Listen to stories and sing songs with Ms. Jen!

Library Drop-in Playgroup all ages welcome: Fridays 10:15am-12:30pm

Make new friends, have a cup of coffee and play with toys provided by the Library.

LEGO Club ages 5 and up: Thursday, December 5th and December 19th  4:00-5:00pm

Build a creation from your imagination with Legos provided by the library

Ornament Decorating Workshop Ages 5 and up – Sign up required: Saturday, December 7th 10:30-12:30

Make two ornaments for the holidays: one to take hone and one to adorn the tree at the library.  Sponsored by the Garden Club and the Friends of The Library.  Registration is required.

Family Movie Night all ages: Tuesday December 10th at 5:30pm

Join us for the Polar Express (rated G, 1 hr 40 minutes long)  Feel free to bring a picnic dinner, a blanket and some pillows!  Hot chocolate will be served and feel free to wear your pajamas!

Winter Variety Show by Toe Jam Puppet Band all ages: Saturday December 14th 11:00-11:45am

This show features an appearance from Vinny’s extraordinary puppet creation that blows a snowstorm through his nose! The show includes a Penguin Line Dance and a variety of Toe Jam’s interactive songs, dances and puppet shows.  Funded by a gift in honor of Constance O’Dell

Move Matinee and Winter Craft all ages welcome: Saturday December 21st   10:30am

Join us for Frosty The Snowman (rated G 25 minutes long.)  After the movie we will do a winter themed craft.
