Senior Center Re-opens to Public

The Senior Center will open to the public beginning Monday, July 13, by appointment only, and on a very limited basis. Only the computer room, bookstore and “Good as New Shop” will be available at this time. Appointments can also be made to see staff.  No more than 2 guests will be allowed in any room at one time. Visits to the Center will be limited to no more than one hour.

To help keep everyone safe, everyone will be asked to confirm that they do not have, and are not suspected of having, nor have they had close contact with, anyone with COVID 19.  If someone has a fever, cough, or any signs of respiratory infection, they will not be able to come to the Center. If someone has travelled outside of the New England, New York, and New Jersey area, they must wait 14 days before coming to the Center. Everyone is required to wear a face covering to enter the Center, and whenever possible maintain 6-feet of distance from others. If you are in need of a mask, let us know, as some are available.

SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) appointments are available by phone and email. To schedule, call the Senior Center. We are providing transportation for essential needs such as grocery shopping and medical appointments within our service area. We also continue to loan out medical equipment. For more information on transportation or medical equipment, please contact Marty Schneider, Outreach and Transportation Coordinator.

We encourage all Seniors, and those concerned, to reach out to us with any questions, concerns or needs. We also encourage those just wanting to say hello to give us a call. We can be reached at 508-429-0622.
