Student Ambassador Thanks Holliston for Support of Food Drive

From Pranav Govindarajan

Thanks to our Holliston community for its generous donations to the Project 351 Food Drive.  This drive benefitted many families suffering from food insecurity, especially during the pandemic. In total, 222.1 pounds of food was collected. Your commitment to helping our local communities is admirable.

Project 351 increased its impact in response to hunger rates at two and three times that of one year ago:

  • 180 team members united to mobilize their communities to stock the shelves of 130 Food Pantries;
  • 49,149 pounds of food was collected;
  • $23,481.52 was raised and donated to help our hometowns end hunger;
  • A total of 124,421 neighbors were given access to the food they need and deserve.

Thank you to Ms. Hurley, Ms. Bonomo, Mr. Leoncini, Mr. Paltrineri, Shihan Woods, and Mr. and Mrs. Farrell for not only allowing Nobles, Superette, Fiske’s, NGMA, and Coffee Haven to be host-sites accepting donations, but also for being tremendously encouraging. My special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Cain, Holliston Reporter, for their support and help throughout this past year to spread the word about my service activities as a Project 351 Ambassador. A big thank you to my family for standing by me, inspiring, and encouraging me to do my very best to serve. Thank you!

With gratitude,

Pranav Govindarajan

    Project 351 has been a partner of the Holliston Pantry Shel for a number of years. The Ambassadors to this program have been remarkable young adults who have gone on to be valuable members of our community. Thank you Pranav for your caring efforts.
