Carol (Pfeiffer) Dubin at 87

Carol (Pfeiffer) Dubin, passed peacefully at her home, on the morning of Monday September 6, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Born April 30, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, Carol was the daughter of the late Edna (Dominic) and Jackson Pfeiffer.

Carol attended James Madison High School in Brooklyn, NY and then went on to work as a Designer, Decorator and Event Coordinator.  A longtime resident of Mashpee, Massachusetts, she recently lived in Holliston with her son. Since 1981, Carol taught a special blend of Yoga, meditation, Jin Shin Jyutsu acupressure and body alignment. A maverick in the health industry, her early campaigns for good nutrition, stress management and purified water are now mainstreamed. Ms. Dubin was featured on the cover of PrimeTime Magazine as The YOGA Grandame of Cape Cod. Her numerous and grateful students benefited from her expertise in yoga, as well as her special blend of Holistic and eastern meditation practices.  Her enthusiasm, passion and exemplary model of “walking the walk” lead to a waitlist for many classes.

Carol led a mindful, spiritual, and artistic life. Being a practitioner of the path of Thich Nhat Hahn she frequented the Cape Sangha at Unity of Cape Cod. As an accomplished artist within water color, pastel and oil her subjects ranged from abstract to nature topics. She lived simply, loved deeply and mentored many family members and friends. With a contagious and radiant smile, her beauty lit up any room she entered.

She was predeceased by her former husband Stanley Dubin and  her brother Robert Pfeiffer. Carol leaves behind beloved family members – three children, David J. Dubin and his wife, Nancy of Holliston (MA), Mindy Dubin of Wrentham (MA) and Jill Blum of Mahwah, (NJ). Her four beautiful grandchildren, Hilary Hulbrock, Jacqueline Corbo, David and Chelsea Dubin; two sons-in-law, Mark Hulbrock and Vincent Corbo; and three great-grandchildren Olivia Corbo, Skyler Hulbrock and Nolan Hulbrock who will miss her deeply.
