That’s a Wrap on Prana Summer Stock!

The Prana Center wrapped up two weeks of their popular Summer Stock “play in a week” program with a production of Alice in Wonderland at Christ the King Church, Friday, July 22. Holliston 8th grader Sadie Bigelow led the cast as Alice, with HHS freshman Ally Forbes as the Mad Hatter. When Alice obeyed the “Drink Me” sign and had a sip, she turned into Holliston 3rd grader Maggie Mulik in an identical costume! Thirty children and teens delighted parents with this mashup of Lewis Caroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

Week one of Summer Stock featured two original plays by director Roberta Weiner, Goldilocks Speaks (photo below) and Jack and Jill and the Beanstalk, with an outdoor production at CTK Church. The fractured fairy tales included a gender-bending Giant, two Jacks, 3 little pigs, 3 bears, and great use of the natural environment to mimic the beanstalk and Jack and Jill’s hill!
