Fall weather often means people are thinking about sweaters, pumpkins, and getting back to school. The Holliston Lions Club has several upcoming events to share with members of the community. Here are some of the exciting things you can expect from us this fall!

Veterans and Seniors Luncheon

Join the Holliston Lions Club at the Senior Center on Saturday, September 17th at 12pm for burgers, potato salad, dessert, and soda/water. There is no charge to attend. Simply call the Senior Center (508) 429-0622 on/before the 15th of September to register for this free luncheon! It promises to be a good time!

Join us at Celebrate Holliston

The Holliston Lions Club will be at Celebrate Holliston on September 24th. We’ll have a free raffle, other giveaways and information about our Peace Poster Contest, Speech Contest, and Golf Tournament! We’ll also have information about the Lions Club and how you can get involved! Stop by and say hello!

Lions Opportunities for Youth

Get out your pencils, crayons, or pens and have some fun! We’re inviting students who will be 11, 12, 13 on/before November 15th to participate in this year’s Peace Poster Contest. Students can register on our website, or at Fiske’s General Store. Free poster boards are also available at Fiske’s for anyone who is interested in participating! This year’s theme “Lead with Compassion”. Show us your best work!

High school students have a lot of great ideas! This year, we would be thrilled to have you participate in our Lions Youth Speech Contest. This is open to any student who meets the age requirements (High School) regardless of where they attend school, or if they are home-schooled. This years topic is “Environmental Crisis Fact or Fiction”. There are several deadlines to meet including the first one which is Wednesday, November 16. Lions Charity Golf Tournament

The deadline to register as a sponsor, a golfer, or join us for lunch is approaching fast! Please check out our website for more information regarding our Golf Tournament which will be coming up on October 14th at Pinecrest Golf Course. $125 includes green fees, golf cart, goodie bag, and lunch! We’ll have raffles and prizes as well! Join us for a fun time while helping us provide Holliston students with scholarships as they graduate high school! It’s not too late to become a sponsor, or to donate a prize for our raffles.
