On Friday, September 30, 2022, James Robert Myers passed away after a brave battle with prostate cancer. He was 70. Born to Jean and Robert Myers, Jim grew up in Fairfield Ct. graduating from Andrew Warde High School in 1969. From there he attended Northeastern University’s co-op program and graduated summa cum laude in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in Business. He worked for 33 years for the U.S. Government primarily in Health and Human Services as a computer analyst.   

Jim had many interests. He met his wife of 48 years, Lana, in the N.U Choral Society. Together they sang in community choruses, church choirs and performed in many community theatre productions. From tent to cottage, they vacationed in their beloved Maine at OOB and in Ogunquit with family and friends. At home Jim loved his game shows, flower garden, playing scrabble with daughter Jennifer, watching his favorite TV shows with Lana, and special “performances” by grandson, Riley. And through the years Pumpkin, Lily, Pewter, Squeek, Jifty, Bella, and Pino, the beloved felines sat beside them.  

Jim is survived by his wife, Lana, daughter Jennifer and her husband, Jeff Marrier, grandson, Riley, brother-in-law, Lynn and his wife, Kim Taylor, sister Joanne Every, nephews, Eric and Sean Every, sister Linda and her husband, Tony Ferranti, nephew Nicholas Ferranti, niece Heather and her husband, Spencer Johnson, uncle Art Elsasser, cousin Eddie and his wife Lynne Elsasser, cousin Mark Elsasser cousin Leigh and her husband, Keith Basta, best friends Bob and Pattie Cohen and Donna Wresinski {2} 

Jim was known for his sense of humor. Here are a few fun memories: 

• Pirate Punch 
• “There’s a sucker born every minute” 
• Boss of the cookies 
• “Go with the flow like a twig on the shoulders of a mighty stream.” 
• A crashing soda bottle at the movies 
• “What camera?” 
• Eating pork chops and spaghetti at midnight 
• He and Ron sinking in the ocean singing “Always look on the bright side of life” 

A graveside service will be held at Lake Grove Cemetery on Highland St. in Holliston on Wednesday, October 12th at 1pm. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. There will be a reception following the ceremony.
