Holliston Democratic Town Committee (DTC) members are hosting an in-person caucus to select delegates to attend the 2023 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. The Holliston caucus will convene at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023. All Democrats registered to vote in Holliston are invited to participate and are encouraged to run for delegate to represent Holliston at the State Democratic Convention. The convention will take place September 23 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell where Massachusetts Democrats will gather to vote on a party platform. This is an exciting opportunity for Democrats to shape their party!

Caucus registration will begin June 24 at 10:00 a.m., where voter registration status will be confirmed. Registration will close at 10:45 a.m. Everyone in line to register at 10:45 will be admitted to the caucus. Anyone admitted after 10:45 will be designated as a guest and will not be able to run for delegate or to vote.

The caucus is open to the public and press, but only Holliston’s registered and pre-registered Democrats are eligible to participate. Pre-registered Democrats must be at least 16 years old on the caucus date. Same-day registration is allowed. Delegates must be present at the caucus to be elected (except persons serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, with prior notice).

Holliston Democrats will be voting to elect 10 delegates and 4 alternate delegates to represent the town at the State Democratic Convention. Those not selected as a delegate or an alternate, and who meet the qualifications, can apply separately to be an add-on delegate in the following categories: youth, minority, disabled, LGBTQ+, or ask about being a convention volunteer.
