Holliston Lions Club at Celebrate Holliston

The Holliston Lions Club will be hosting multiple booths at Celebrate Holliston. Here’s what you can expect:

Information about the Holliston Lions Cub Club — the Holliston Lions are forming a Cub Club for up to 10 children between the ages of 6 and 10. This group will participate alongside their parents and Lions leaders Brian Simons and Pooja Pal. Some of the activities will include preparing greeting cards for Veteran’s and Seniors, assisting at Holliston Lions senior lunches and packing worry worms.

Information about the Lions Peace Poster Contest — Holliston Lions will be participating in the International Peace Poster Contest. At Celebrate Holliston, you can pick up a sheet of rules as well as a free poster board which meets the criteria set up by Lions Clubs International. The contest is open to students who are ages 11, 12 or 13 as of November 15, 2023. Winning posters are provided with a cash award at each level. This years’ theme is Dare to Dream.

Massachusetts Lions Youth Speech Contest — Once again we will be sponsoring the Lions Youth Speech Contest. This years’ topic is “With Which Historical Figure Would You Most Like to Speak?” The contest is open to all students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Holliston LEO Club — Based out of Holliston High School these young leaders will be busy with the Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life on September 30, but we can help provide you with information about the Club and what they accomplish on an annual basis. Ask us about how you can become a member of this great team of leaders.

Lions Organ Donor Program — Learn more about organ donation and register today! We’re committed to spreading awareness of this important program and preventing confusion about organ donation. Register to be an organ donor while you are here!

There’s More!

We have a free raffle for all kids (all items donated by Fiske’s General Store). There is no cost to fill out a ticket and everyone has a chance to win. We also have some candy which everyone is welcome to snag a piece (or two, three, etc.!)  We’ll also be giving away hand-made worry worms!

Bring your old eyeglasses, tabs from cans, and used hearing aids with you!

You can also find a brochure which talks about the Holliston Lions and the projects we do in Holliston and beyond.   We’re looking forward to meeting you!
