The Charles F. Duford Post 47, American Legion, Downtown Marigold Project is looking for a few hours of your time. Last week eight hearty public spirited volunteers helped plant 400 chrysanthemums. This coming Saturday we’re planting 2000 daffodils around town. We begin at 9 am till 11 am. It’s all about ambience folks “the character of a place or the quality it seems to have”.

We’d like to have the town spruced up next spring for our 300^th Anniversary. As Audrey Hepburn said “As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands – one for helping yourself, the other for helping others”. All you need for this project is a shovel or trowel and a bit of common sense to put the bulb in the ground the correct way. We’ll meet at the Mayor’s Plantation, 260 Highland St. at 9 am.
