Several Events Added to 300th Calendar

St. Patrick’s Day is less than four months away. The 300th Anniversary Committee has added a St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast Roast to their calendar. The event will be held on March 17th at town hall, and tickets are $15 a person. The shenanigans begin at 9 am with a full Irish breakfast catered by TJ’s of Ashland. Local notables and politicians will take the stage to entertain the crowd with their Irish wit and ribbing of each other. A limited number of 125 tickets will be available in early December making them great stocking stuffer gifts. Point of sales for the tickets will be advertised soon.

The date and time for the laser light show by Pinnacle Productions has been locked in according to Martin Spellacy. Spellacy is chairman of the event which is co-sponsored by the local American Legion and VFW Posts. Funds are also being contributed by the town which were passed at the spring town meeting. The event will be held July 4th at the high school. The show will begin around 8:30 pm (darkness permitting) and be preempted by a DJ and possibly a community sing along beginning at 7 pm. The event is free of charge.

Another event which is free of charge is a concert at Blair Square in August. The 35 piece Claflin Hill Orchestra from Milford will play a 2 hour concert with a variety of music. Paul Surapine, conductor said he has been dying to play in Holliston. Almost locked in is a Saturday, August 17th date. Start time will be 6 pm to 8 pm.
