Thank You For Supporting LCIF

The Holliston Lions Club would like to extend their thanks to the many people who helped us in our efforts to collect funds for Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF). This is the humanitarian arm of Lions Clubs International.

During the past few weeks we were making an effort to collect funds to help support many of the causes of LCIF, but specifically for disaster relief. We exceeded our own expectations. Thanks to the generosity of our Club members (and members of the community) we made our first donation of $5,300 to the Foundation.

In October, we held our 2nd meat raffle and were able to raise another $1,000 which will also go to the disaster relief fund. There are many people to thank for the success of this meat raffle including:

John at Casey’s – who generously allowed us to “take over” his facility on a Saturday afternoon.

Chris at Superette – who once again supplied us with high quality meats and cheeses to raffle off.

Fellow Lions from the Ashland, Blackstone, Cambridge, Malden, Medfield, Medway, Sherborn, Stow, and Wellesley Centennial Lions Club.

The members of the Holliston Lions Club are humbled by the support and generosity of this community and the businesses in town who continue to help us reach new goals every year.

Lions Clubs International Foundation is a 501(c)(3) registered charity and is rated very highly on Charity Navigator. All of the funds collected by the foundation are given out in the forms of grants and cash advances to Lions Clubs, Lions Districts and other agencies to help people who need it the most. If you would like to help us continue supporting LCIF, you can make a tax deductible donation to LCIF by sending a check payable to LCIF to the Holliston Lions Club at PO Box 6112, Holliston MA 01746.
