The Stroll Is Back

After a pandemic hiatus, the popular holiday stroll is back on. “It’s time” John Paltrineri told the Holliston Reporter. Paltrineri was able to coral fellow volunteers Karla Alfred, Steve Apesos, and John Drohan in assisting him bring the stroll back to life.

Paltrineri said he has 20 businesses lined up for the Small Business Saturday on November 25th. Each business will have donation jars for this year’s fundraisers, the Community Action Fund and the food pantry.

The hours of the stroll will be 10am to 5 pm and at 4pm carolers will assemble in front of Fiskes for a procession to Town Hall for the official tree lighting. Members of the Marine Corps will be on hand to collect for their Toys for Tots program. Paltrineri hopes to bring back the tour buses next year.

The Town Hall tree lighting is a departure from previous years when a tree donated by Rep. Carolyn Dykema was lite at Blair Square. That tree is now most likely in a compost pile due to the renovation of Blair Square.

Thank you so much for bringing the stroll back. Had a wonderful day seeing old friends, visiting businesses. Wonderful way to start the holiday. Appreciate all the hard work that goes into this.
