Update on Investigation into Swastikas Found in Holliston Community

Dear Holliston Community Members,

We are writing to provide you with an important update regarding the investigation into the swastikas discovered on a community field outside of the Woodland St. school campuses last fall. After a thorough investigation and collaboration between the Holliston Police Department and community leaders, we have identified the individual responsible for placing these items on the field.

The individual in question is a juvenile, and it is imperative that confidentiality is maintained in this matter. However, we view this as an opportunity for further growth and education, and we recognize the need for ongoing efforts to strengthen the Holliston Coalition Against Hate and Bias.

Our commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive community remains steadfast. The actions displayed are not reflective of our community’s values, and while we are unable to disclose specific details, please be assured that the individual involved will be held accountable for their behavior.

We would like to encourage open communication within our community and express our gratitude to those who contributed to the investigation, in the hope of finding the necessary closure to this disturbing incident. It is vital that we continue to cultivate an environment of respect, understanding, and unity throughout Holliston.

Thank you for your patience and ongoing support as we navigate this issue together. With collective effort, we can work together and strive to make our community a more welcoming place for all.

Sincerely,

Mr. Travis Ahern & Dr. Susan Kustka

Co-Facilitators of the Holliston Coalition Against Hate & Bias
