The 30th Annual Communicator Awards Announces Winners

Excellence and Distinction award recipients named

New York, NY – The winners of the 30th Annual Communicator Awards have officially been announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA).

With over 3,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. The competition celebrated its 30th anniversary this year with a pledge to honor timeless communication. Story Time with Chief Cassidy: “Spencer: Boston’s Beloved Marathon Dog” (Episode 49) was recognized as an Award of Excellence winner in the General – Youth Audience category. Other winners who received the competition’s highest honor, the Award of Excellence, include Disney, The White House Historical Association, Mastercard, George P. Johnson Experience Marketing, AARP, Veritas, IBM, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Hearts & Science, PBS, Havas, PepsiCo and many others.

In addition to the Award of Excellence for Episode 49, Story Time with Chief Cassidy: “Here Comes Firefighter Hippo,” (Episode 47) was also recognized as an Award of Distinction winner in the General – Youth Audience category.

The series began in April 2020, as a way for the fire chief to share key fire safety messages with students during the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown.
