Holliston Pantry Shelf Thanks Our Community: Has Specific Donation Needs

March 23, 2020 – While the Coronavirus epidemic forced the Holliston Pantry Shelf to close its doors to the public, we are proud to announce that with the support of our generous community, we delivered groceries to close to 100 homes last week alone.   We anticipate we will deliver groceries to even more Holliston households this week and in the coming weeks and possibly months.    The Pantry has enacted stringent sanitizing and safety procedures and is operating with a very small group of dedicated volunteers and delivery drivers.

We would like to express a heartfelt thank-you to all of the Holliston Community members who have dropped off donations in our donation bin outside the Pantry at 73 Charles Street, or who have contributed financially at www.hollistonpantryshelf.org.   Your generosity will enable us to continue to deliver groceries to our neighbors well into the foreseeable future.

Deliveries ready to go. Each family receives five bags of food. Captured by Yvette Cain last week.

We would like to ask the community to please check our website for “Items Needed” – the list is located in the red banner at the top of our website’s first page.   We are facing very challenging times with limited inventory, so we respectfully request that our donors focus on providing the items we most need if they are able.  We update the list every few days, based on our needs.

Right now, we are most in need of the following:

  • Pasta,
  • Pasta Sauce,
  • Regular coffee,
  • Canned Fruit, and
  • Snacks.

We thank you most sincerely for your incredible generosity and your continued support.  We remind anyone in our community who is in need of groceries to contact info@hollistonpantryshelf.org, or call our Pantry desk M – F  at 508.429.5392 between 10 am and 1 pm.  You do not need to be registered with us during this time, we will help any resident that needs our assistance with groceries.
