MathWorks of Natick Improves Our Trail

MathWorks of Natick, MA, a leading developer of mathematical computing software, worked on the Holliston Rail Trail for a day of volunteering.  For the past several years this company has completed projects along the trail that enhance the usefulness and appearance.

Led by Rick Irons of Holliston, this year’s crew worked on clearing and mulching three areas on the trail.  This is the Cross Street intersection above and below.  The other nearby area was the exercise station near Cross St donated and installed by Phil Gibson 2 years ago.

Then on to Chestnut Street to enhance this intersection with the same clearing, trimming and mulching.

Each time projects are done by a sponsoring group all trail users benefit.  Holliston has a resource that’s used extensively and requires ongoing attention.

On behalf of The Holliston Trails Committee, thank you to everyone who contributes to keeping our trail in good condition doing projects and improving this town shared asset.

Mathworks had a grant program for many years and the employees voted to support the Friends of Holliston Trails. We thank Mathworks for their continued support in many ways… with these volunteers and with funding! Thank you!
