HOLLISTON, MA — Around 500 community members from Holliston and beyond rallied in front of Town Hall on Monday, September 1, joining hundreds of thousands of Americans in a nationwide “Workers Over Billionaires” Day of Action. Demonstrators called for an end to the Trump Administration’s ongoing attacks on working families.
The festive, family-friendly event lined Washington Street with American flags, signs of support for American workers, and Holliston’s trademark bubbles. Attendees emphasized unity and resilience in the face of deep cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and other essential programs; rising costs; job losses; and union-busting tactics.
In addition to raising their voices, participants raised nearly $500 in donations for Project Just Because, a Hopkinton-based nonprofit that provides food, clothing, and school supplies to local families. With this latest contribution, Holliston demonstrators have now collected more than $2,000 for local organizations serving veterans, working families, and other vulnerable neighbors.
