Habitat for Humanity MW/GW Building 2 Affordable Homes with help from DuPont Marlborough

Worcester, MA (September 23, 2025) Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester
announced it has received a $20,000 grant from DuPont to help build a single-family affordable
home in Worcester and a single-family affordable home in Ashland.

On September 25 DuPont employees will join our seasoned construction crew to volunteer at
the 13 Hawley Street in Worcester affordable home build and on September 26 DuPont
employees will join at the 487 Main Street Ashland affordable home build. DuPont teams also
participated on September 18 and 19 at 13 Hawley Street in Worcester.

With the support of the grant, teams will contribute to construction well under way at 13 Hawley
Street in Worcester. Tasks include completing the front walkway, clearing the yard to prepare for
topsoil, spreading topsoil, seeding grass and painting the interior. A team will also contribute at
487 Main Street Ashland by helping frame the second floor deck, installing joists as well as
Advantech Plywood Decking, and prefabricating walls on the ground.

Generous financial contributions like this one and volunteer participation of individuals and
teams help contribute to the affordability of the homes built by Habitat for Humanity.

“We are grateful to DuPont not only for their generous donation to benefit local families who
need a safe and affordable home, but also for sending their team from the Marlboro location to
volunteer on our build sites. With their support, our communities thrive, and families build
strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing. Thank you, DuPont for your
support of our mission to build homes, communities, and hope for local families!” – Deborah
Huegel, VP of Philanthropy, Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester.

In its five years of partnership with Habitat, DuPont has donated $2.5 million in cash and more
than $5.5 million in donated product. In addition, more than 1,800 DuPont employees have
volunteered on Habitat builds. The company has also supported other Habitat initiatives
including its Home Builders Blitz, Neighborhood Revitalization, and the Homes, Communities,
Hope +You COVID recovery campaign.
