
Charles Earl Redmond, 87, of Bellingham, formerly of Holliston, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Florence (Sullivan) and Earl Redmond. Charles was the devoted husband of Claire (Cross) Redmond, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Together for 67 years, their love story began during their college years and grew into a lifelong partnership.
Charles earned a BS in Business Administration at Northeastern University in 1961. He went on to build a long and accomplished career in finance. From 1964 to 1968, he worked with General Motors Assembly Division in Framingham. He then served as Assistant Controller at Cambosco Inc. in Boston from 1968 to 1972 and later served as Financial VP and Controller at New England Envelope Manufacturing Company in Worcester from 1972 until his retirement in 1989. A longtime resident of Holliston, Charles lived there for nearly 60 years before relocating to Bellingham. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe, where he and Claire spent their 50th anniversary. He was an avid golfer and highly skilled billiard player.
In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his children, Paul Redmond of San Antonio, Texas, Karen Redmond, and Mark Redmond, both of Bellingham. He also leaves his grandson, Jonathan Redmond.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church in Holliston. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
