Local Student-Led Research Organization Completes Inaugural Fellowship

Hypothetica Journal has officially established itself as the world’s first speculative research outlet dedicated to making high-level academic inquiry accessible to all. Founded in June 2025 as a California-incorporated non-profit, our student-led organization connects ambitious young minds with PhD mentors from institutions like Harvard Med, Stanford, Yale, Duke, UNC, and Northeastern. Together, we are building a truly global research network that spans North America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.

This August marked the completion of our inaugural Summer Research Fellowship. Selected from a competitive pool of over 550 applicants, our summer fellows formulated original “what-if” research questions, worked in specialized groups, and authored formal academic papers. Alongside our fellows, Hypothetica Journal now supports a thriving collective of 60+ independent student researchers worldwide, with our publications reaching an audience of over 8,000 readers.

Whether you want to join our next cohort, contribute as an academic reviewer, or support our ongoing research, we’d love to have you on board. Contact us at hypotheticajournal@gmail.com for more information!
