Fire Chief Michael Cassidy shares a breakdown of the number and types of calls to which HFD responded in the first quarter of this fiscal year.
As a comparison, he provides the total calls from July 2020 – June 2021.

This week’s report includes stand-by coverage by HFD in Hopkinton and Ashland on Marathon Monday in addition to the normal emergency calls.

A relatively light week for the Firefigthers and EMTs of HFD.

HFD responded to motor vehicle accidents, medical, assistance, alarm activations, and odors during this reporting period.

A very busy week for the EMT’s and Firefighters of HFD.

This week’s HFD emergency calls were mainly for medical care / transport. There was one kitchen fire that drew the firefighters’ attention.

During this reporting period, the backup ambulance was called into service more than once to handle two EMS calls at about the same time.

Mostly ambulance calls during this reporting period with crews carrying patients to Worcester, Needham, and Boston – along with Milford and Framingham.

A week of pre-dawn calls, except for the weekend when the ambulance crews got a couple extra hours of sleep.
