“We are honored to join Historic Hotels of America and proud to see the Deerfield Inn recognized for its enduring legacy and sense of place,” said Laura Smiarowski, Vice President of Finance & Administration at Historic Deerfield, Inc. “This designation affirms the Inn’s role as a welcoming gateway to one of the nation’s most historically significant villages and celebrates the generations of hospitality that have made it a beloved destination for travelers seeking both comfort and connection to the past.”
The Deerfield Inn has long played an integral role in welcoming guests to the historic village of Deerfield. Originally opened to serve travelers arriving by rail, the Inn became part of the Historic Deerfield experience when it was acquired by Henry and Helen Flynt in the mid-20th century. Since then, it has provided lodging and hospitality to generations of visitors exploring the region’s rich cultural and educational offerings. Throughout its history, the Inn has weathered the passage and pressures of time, all while maintaining its deep connection to the community.
Recent enhancements to the Inn have preserved its distinctive charm while adding modern comforts like in-room wellness services, updated guest amenities, and a renewed focus on culinary programming. Today, the Deerfield Inn continues to serve as a bridge between past and present, offering an experience that is as timeless as it is welcoming.
