Governance Committee Presents a Progress Report to Select Board

The Select Board welcomed the Governance Committee (GC) to its Monday evening Zoom meeting, opened by Chair John Cronin at 6:32 PM. The Governance Committee reviewed the status of their work and briefly responded to questions from the Board and the audience.
Gulf Services Inc. Proposed Special Permit Denied

The ZBA (Zoning Board of Appeals) held a public hearing (remotely) Wednesday November 18th to decide the fate of a request for a Special Permit by Gulf Services Inc. to operate a gas/service station at 799 Washington Street in the center of downtown.

Select Board Prepares for Town Meeting

The Select Board hosted a joint meeting with the Governance Committee on Monday, November 23, 2020. Select Board Chair John Cronin and Governance Committee Chair Sam Tyler called their respective meetings to order with remote participation.

As of Friday, the statewide travel order, which rates other states’ risk level based on their positive test and new case rates, now lists only Vermont and Hawaii as “lower-risk” states not requiring quarantine or testing upon entering Massachusetts.
Notice of Public Hearing – Tax Classification; November 30, 2020

The Public Hearing for Tax Classification will open at 7:30 PM on November 30 with the Select Board and Board of Assessors and after discussion the Hearing will remain open and be continued to December 7 at 7:30 PM.
