HCAT and Chief Cassidy Win AIVA “Award of Distinction”

The winners of the 29th Annual Communicator Awards have officially been announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). With around 3,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. “Story Time with Chief Cassidy: Dial 911” (Episode 29) was recognized as an Award of Distinction winner in the Film/Video – Youth Audience category.

Help the Historical Commission – Take the Survey

The mission of the Holliston Historical Commission is to identify, preserve, and protect the historical resources of the Town, specifically buildings and structures as well as town records and documents. 

This community survey will help the Historical Commission develop a list of important places, statues, landscapes, and more around town. The list will be the foundation for an inventory process to recognize these places.

Rail Trail Central Street Crossing – Please Push the Button

The newly renovated Blair Square section of the Upper Charles Rail Trail has been reopened to trail users. With this multi-purpose installation, there are some safety reminders that seem appropriate: there are “rumble strips” of granite in the trail surface to caution bicyclists to slow down through Blair Square, and the Central Street crosswalk as rapid-flashing beacons to alert drivers to pedestrians.

Holliston Remembers and Honors on Memorial Day 2023

It was a spectacular day to come together to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to maintain our freedoms. The parade and ceremony, planned and executed by Holliston’s Memorial Day Commitee, did our fallen service personnel proud.
