Wilhelmina Murray

Wilhelmina Ann Murray (Mina), 63, of Holliston, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Wilhelmina Murray and the late Daniel Murray. Mina was an incredibly accomplished, yet humble, devoted mother of three children, whom she always placed at the center of her life. She was steadfast, loving, and unwavering in her priorities.

Mina’s life mission was to transform the landscape of care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Her remarkable advocacy was driven by her love for her son Dean, who is profoundly autistic and non-verbal. She served as an active member of the Saving Wrentham and Hogan Alliance (SWHA) Board of Directors and a dedicated member of the Coalition of Families and Advocates (COFAR). She left a successful career in software development to work as a Direct Support Professional at Advocates, Inc., where she empowered an autistic adult to live a fuller, more engaged life in his community. Her vision, courage, and resolve inspired all who worked alongside her, making her an indispensable force in the movement for quality, person‑centered support.

Mina is survived by her three children; Wilhelmina Howell of Burlington, Vermont, Edith Howell of Worcester, and Dean Howell of Westborough. She also leaves behind her mother Wilhelmina McCauley Murray, sister Dana Jandhyala of Naples, Florida & niece Nora Jandhyala of New York City, New York.
