Another Fun Saturday in Holliston

Over 70 youngsters turned out to angle for approximately 100 fish. The odds did not favor the fish! The turnout doubled the 2019 tally.

Ed Glickman came with all the trophies and assorted fishing gear to be sure that everyone who fished left with a prize.

James Caldwell

James Caldwell had quite the fish tale to tell. He caught his limit of three fish. Unfortunately one of the fish (on the right) became a snapping turtle’s breakfast – leaving James with a story for the ages – and a fish head on his stringer!

The Friends of the Holliston Trails modified their annual fundraising run format to allow runners to complete a 5 or 10K loop on the trail – either this Saturday or Sunday. A Kids Fun Run is also part of the program.

Every race, virtual or otherwise, needs a finish line.
(L-R) Claudette, Sienna, and Jack Fowler and Friends Chair Gretchen Rice Prieve were on hand to greet the 50 or so folks who had pre-registered. Walk (run) ups were welcomed too!

100% of the net proceeds will fund improvements along the trail. Donations to support the Rail Trail can be made anytime at http://www.hollistontrails.org.

Then it was time to bring on the noise. HHS’s graduating class streamed through the streets of Holliston cheered on and congratulated as they passed.

The cars kept coming and coming.

Embedded with the graduates, riding on one of Holliston’s antique fire engines, was Holliston Reporter’s photo journalist Ken Robinson. Look for some Ken’s pix in an upcoming article.

What a great day to be in and around Holliston!
