Statement of the Metrowest Interfaith Community In Light of Recent Incidents of Antisemitism in Holliston

We of the MetroWest Interfaith Community were deeply disturbed to learn of another
antisemitic incident that took place in Holliston. This has become a troubling pattern of behavior
in our town, one that exemplifies the persistence and rise of antisemitic sentiments and behavior
in this national political climate. We stand with the Jewish community of Holliston in this painful
moment, together with towns throughout the Metrowest that also reported antisemitic incidents
in the last couple of years.

As an interfaith community, we believe that Holliston must be a place where people of all
religions and spiritual traditions can thrive, together with our nonreligious neighbors. We must
foster the truth of our oneness as members of this larger community while also honoring our
diversity with reverence. We bring our one interfaith voice to bear in our solidarity to overcome
explicit and implicit bias of all kinds in our communities.

We as the MetroWest Interfaith Community commit to being part of the solution. We commit to
partnering with other community leaders and institutions to take action to combat antisemitism
and all other forms of oppression, and to building a deeply connected multifaith and multicultural
community together.
