81 Local Firefighters to Graduate from State Fire Academy 

STOW—State Fire Marshal Jon M. Davine and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy leadership will present certificates of completion to more than 80 graduating recruits – including Deputy State Fire Marshal Maribel Fournier – next week at ceremonies in Lynnfield and Stow.

The 21 recruits of MFA Call/Volunteer Recruit Class #117 represent the fire departments of Essex, Hamilton, Haverhill, Lincoln, Lynnfield, Nahant, Newburyport, Topsfield, and Wenham.

The 27 recruits of MFA Call/Volunteer Recruit Class #116 represent the fire departments of Carlisle, Dover, Grafton, Harvard, Holliston, Hopedale, Lancaster, Mendon, Millis, Millville, Norfolk, Northbridge, Pepperell, Sherborn, and Sterling.

The 33 recruits of MFA Career Recruit Class #328 represent the fire departments of Acton, Arlington, Ashland, Burlington, Dracut, Fall River, Holden, Littleton, Lowell, Melrose, Methuen, Milford, Natick, Plainville, Watertown, Westborough, and Wilmington.

The MFA provides recruit and in-service training at three separate campuses for Massachusetts firefighters and has graduated about 14,000 firefighters in more than 400 classes.
