With heavy hearts but a deep measure of comfort for a life well-lived and well-loved, we announce the passing of Ann Helen Andre (nee Tero), who left this world peacefully on July 5, 2025, at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family.
Ann’s life was full of achievements. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, she served her country with honor, dedication, and purpose. A strong swimmer throughout her life, she was invited to train for the Olympics, but her heart led her in a more meaningful and fulfilling direction. She met the love of her life, Kenneth Andre, while they were both serving in the Navy. They married in February of 1954, settled in Holliston, Massachusetts, and started a family.
Although Ann was an accomplished swimmer, avid tennis player, talented seamstress, and incredible cook, she would consider her greatest passion to be her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her daughter, Mary Isabelle; her grandson, Matthew Bertulli; her sisters, Mary Fuller, Jean Sullivan, and Patricia Hurd; and her brother, Nalbert Tero.
She is survived by her sister, Cathy (Silvio) Mandino, her brother Michael (Carla)Tero; her children, Ann Andre (Michael Sheehan), Elizabeth (Edward) Wingert, Kathleen (David) Truitt; her grandchildren, Chad, Meghan, Joshua, Benjamin, Thomas, Kara, and Casey, her great-grandchildren, Kristen, Elizabeth, Kayla, Lauren, Charlie, James, Riley, Tucker, Ella, and Cooper; her great-great-grandchildren Leo and Tommy. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held, and military honors will be rendered in recognition of her service in the United States Navy. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
