The unanimous selection at this month’s gathering of
the Writers’ Group is a poem by Verna S. Hobson. We are pleased to present it for your reading
pleasure in the Holliston Reporter. Enjoy!
“A Holliston Call to Duty” is a tribute to military veterans from the small Massachusetts town of Holliston, thirty miles southwest of Boston. Little has been previously told about the lives of these men and women who were called in times of peace and war to the nation’s defense.

Lovely imagery, Verna. I could easily “see” the sights you describe.
This captures our experience of Prince Edward Island last August. Thank you.
