From antiques to muscle cars – even cute cars – were on display Saturday at Arcadian Farms Annual Car Show. No matter what vintage, all were bright enough to make the sun finally make an appearance!
Surf’s up for the owner of this vintage VW “punch-buggy”
Cars filled the farm’s front lot from one end to the other – two deep in some spots.
Some cars go faster than others – just not on the road.
At car shows you always see the hoods open with the shiny engine inside. To the left is a Ford Mustang – hood in the front. To the right is a Chevy Corvair – with the ‘hood’ in the back!
The Thompson Family provided appropriate tunes during the show. I caught their rendition of Charlie Ryan’s 1955 hit “Hot Rod Lincoln”
Saturdays are recycling center day in Holliston. I’d be proud to take this ride over to Marshall Street three or four times every Saturday!
Thanks Chris and your crew for organizing this trip down memory lane and raising funds for the Greater Boston Food Bank.
The Holliston Council on Aging held its monthly meeting on May 10, 2023. Chair Yvette Cain called the meeting to order at the appointed hour of 2:00pm. After dispensing with the approval of the last meeting’s minutes, the Council moved on to hear the Director’s Report.
The Town of Holliston voted at Town Meeting to engage a consultant to develop a 5-10-year strategic plan for the Town, which incorporates all of the department-specific strategic plans and the survey results from the Envisioning Future Holliston Committee. The Town, along with the selected consultant Berry Dunn, needs input from the entire community to develop the town-wide plan. There are many ways to contribute online, in person and at community forums.
