Barbara M. Chamberlain at 102

Barbara M. Chamberlain, 102 years of age, from Holliston passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Countryside Health Care of Milford.

She was the daughter of the late Marie and Leon Blake and was the beloved wife of the late Waldo Chamberlain. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Horne and late husband William Horne of Holliston and stepson Warren Chamberlain and late wife Brenda Chamberlain of Holliston. She was the step grandmother to Laura Coughlin and her husband Charles and David Chamberlain and his wife Erin Tiffany. She also leaves her step-great grandchildren Rowan and Elizabeth Chamberlain, Alec Coughlin, Kayla Moore and Allen Moore.

Barbara was born in Dorchester and lived in Weymouth, Needham, Carver and Holliston. Her career was as a Registered Nurse where she worked at South Shore Hospital, Glover Memorial Hospital, Wellesley College and Briarwood Nursing Home. After retiring and moving to Holliston she was very active at the Holliston Senior Center where she volunteered by working in the Good as New Shop. She was also very busy with her needlework and knitting. Barbara was also a very active 81 year Grange member holding various positions which involved the support of Heifer Project and Aids for Arthritis program.

Her favorite activity was being an avid Red Sox fan whether they were doing good or bad. She never missed watching a game even when they were playing on the west coast and she would have to stay up late to watch them. On her 100th birthday the World Series Trophy was at her party at the Senior Center and she was the only one allowed to touch it.

A private viewing will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, MA on Friday, December 18, 2020 followed by a Graveside Service at 11:00 AM at Needham Cemetery.
