The American Legion’s Downtown Marigold Project recently deployed 360 chrysanthemum plants around town. The aim of this fall endeavor is to maintain color along the heavily traveled routes in town.

Fathers’ Day in October – Only At The Historical Society
It’s never too late to celebrate Fathers’ Day. Delayed by the pandemic, this car show and breakfast in the barn has become a favorite among car enthusiasts and area residents who come to see the cars and trucks on display at the Historical Society Grounds @ 547 Washington Street in Holliston.

Miller Students Contribute to Holliston Author Peters’ Soon to Be Published Debut
This January, local Holliston author Shawn Peters’ middle grade superhero debut, The Unforgettable Logan Foster (HarperCollins, January 4) will be on sale for readers everywhere! Holliston was an integral part of Peters’ writing process – over 100 5th graders from Miller Elementary, where his wife was a teacher, read his manuscript before it was even published.

Our Open Places: Last in a Continuing Series
It seems like yesterday I was planning long excursions after the working day to take advantage of those precious summer daylight hours. This has been a summer of hiking, paddle sports, fishing and finding the special places that are in Holliston and the surrounding community. The summer is now over and with that the inevitable change in daylight hours, temperatures, and wildlife behavior.
