September is almost here and that means a new membership year for Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors. HNN is a not-for-profit civic and social organization that brings friends and neighbors from Holliston and the surrounding communities together to give back and have some fun.

Civics Sunday: State Primary Early Voting Is Here
Saturday, August 22nd began the in-person early voting for the Massachusetts State Primary. The Holliston early voting polls opened at 9:00 am on this sunny Saturday morning. Town Clerk, Liz Greendale and her staff had the Upper Town Hall set up and staffed to provide a safe and sanitary polling place.

COVID-19: August 21, 2020 Update from Representative Dykema
Despite ongoing uncertainty about the trajectory of our pandemic, this week’s COVID-19 numbers have brought good news. As of today, the total number of Massachusetts patients hospitalized with COVID-19 hit its lowest number since March 27th. Although the daily totals for new cases continue to be higher than in July, our weighted positive test rate has sunk to a low of 1.2%, a testament to the significant efforts undertaken by public and private institutions to increase testing capacity.
Governance Committee Targets By-Laws Project
The Holliston Governance Committee (GC) met remotely Wednesday evening and made quick work of approving minutes from their August 3 meeting. Sam Tyler, Chair suggested an initial By-Laws Project to focus their work.
