Civics Sunday: Voting in the Age of COVID-19; Holliston’s Town Election

Holliston Reporter

Town Offices have been closed to public access since mid-March. That does not mean that the essential workers are not carrying on the important work of our community.

Town Clerk, Elizabeth Greendale, and her staff have been preparing for this year’s Town Election.

The Annual Town Election has been postponed due to the pandemic. When we do vote, we’ll have options for maintaining a safe distance. Several deadlines and procedures have changed due to special legislation recently enacted.

The following three documents are available on the Town Clerk’s website. http://Town of Holliston, 2020 Town Election Documents

All early ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office by the close of business on Election Day: either by mail, the Drop Box at the Town Hall.

Voting is one of our most important civic duties. The Commonwealth and the Town have made it as safe as possible to exercise the right to vote – please don’t squander the opportunity.
