Dear Holliston Community,
Happy first day of school! It is with tremendous excitement and deep gratitude that we open our doors today, ready to embark on a year overflowing with discovery, growth, and the joy of learning together. Welcome back to what promises to be a spectacular school year!
A successful launch requires extraordinary effort behind the scenes, and I want to extend my sincere thanks to the many teams who worked tirelessly throughout the summer. Our facilities and maintenance staff, transportation department, food services team, student services department, and our dedicated building principals and leadership teams have worked non-stop to ensure our buildings are shining, our routes are ready, and our educational programs are poised for success.
Our opening days for faculty and staff were truly tremendous. It was wonderful seeing all the faculty and staff together for the first time. Across both district-wide presentations and individual school meetings, a powerful theme emerged: an unwavering dedication to lifting up one another as we collectively serve our students and families. I want to extend a huge thank you to the Holliston PTO for providing our educators with a delicious breakfast and thoughtful snack bags on opening day. Your generosity set a warm, welcoming tone for the entire district.
Connecting with Your Children As your children settle into the routine of a new grade, I encourage you to set aside some time every day to connect with them. Ask about their day, and gently insist on an answer a bit more detailed than a quick “fine!” Transitions and fresh beginnings can be challenging for many of us, and our top priority is ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and truly known in our schools.
Because you know your child best, you will likely be the first to notice if they are experiencing any hesitation or struggle. If you see them having any sort of difficulty, please reach out right away. Your child’s classroom teacher, guidance counselor, or building principal are always ideal places to start.
