Donald M. Marden, 85, of Holliston, peacefully entered heaven on September 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newton, Massachusetts son of Charles Marden and Mary (Cody) Marden.

Donald was loved by so many and led an incredible life serving the community. In the mid-60’s he joined the US Army and served in Intelligence at the Pentagon. He was a catcher for the Army’s softball team. It was here he met his beloved wife, Charlotte Ann (Davis) Marden. Don and Charlotte shared 58 years of marriage, raising their two loving daughters, Courtney and Amanda. They were beyond blessed to become grandparents to two amazing boys, Gabriel and Tyson.

Don was a teacher in Newton at Lincoln Eliot, and Williams. Don was an exceptional athlete; his love of sports showed in coaching many teams. His beloved Drifters, his Mustangs and Hornets.

His love for his family, Charlotte, Courtney, Amanda, Gabriel, and Tyson was beyond measure.

In addition, Don leaves behind many family members; his brother Kevin and his wife Sazi of Watertown, and many Nieces and Nephews. and was predeceased by his sister Betty Keefe, and his brothers Buddy and Bob Marden.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, at 11 am at St. Mary’s in Holliston. Burial will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. In honor of their Dad’s last moments, they would like to offer Salmon Health Care as a choice.
