Fire at Electronic Recyclers International Warehouse

Update March 18, 2020 from Fire Chief Michael Cassidy

At approximately 12:45 pm today, Holliston Fire responded to a working fire at the Electronic Recyclers International warehouse on Cross Street.

While the sky is grey, the smoke at the roof line is evident – especially the scorch marks in the corner of the building at the roof.
Officer Mike Woods prevents nosy reporters from getting in the way.

A Holliston Firefighter was taken by ambulance to Milford Regional for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Mutual Aid support was provided by Medway Fire.

As of now, 1:45 pm, the firefighting efforts continue.

Updates will be posted as they become available.

Wednesday morning update – we heard that the last piece of fire apparatus left the scene around 12:30 am today. A twelve hour effort to extinguish this difficult and dangerous fire by firefighters from Holliston, Medway, Milford, Sherborn, Ashland, and Hopkinton.

  1. And as usual we citizens of Holliston are very grateful for the outstanding Volunteer Fire Dept. that we have. They give up their jobs and give their all for us. Thank you to each & every one of you. It is now 6:30 PM and they are still working hard.

  2. The HollistonFire Department consist of a wonderful group of firefighters who work hard for the town of Holliston. They were working that fire for over 12 hours. Thank you for all the towns who sent help to us.

  3. Thank you to all the fire fighters and rescue personnel! Curious as to the status of the building as my husband works in the company next to it and was told to report to work today. He came home smelling of burning chemicals. I don’t see how that can be good.
