ROCKLAND, MAINE – Glenna Rae Hescock, age 95, of Rockland, ME, and formerly of Holliston, MA, died on April 15, 2024, in Camden, ME, with her daughters by her side.
Glenna was born in Franklin, NH, on December 26, 1928, a daughter of Clark E. and Irene Barney Partelo. She attended and graduated from local Franklin schools.
After graduation, Glenna went on to marry her husband Merrill Hescock, and the couple lived in Laconia, NH, before moving to Holliston, until his death in 1986. In her earlier years, Glenna loved motorcycle trips with Merrill and enjoyed going to the casino. One of her favorite pastimes was knitting.
Later in life, Glenna moved from Massachusetts to Maine to be near her daughter Heather and resided at Bartlett Woods in Rockland until just a short while before her death.
Glenna was known as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to those that knew her. Other than her parents and husband, Glenna was also predeceased by her son, Todd Merrill Hescock, in 2022.
Glenna is survived by her two daughters, Sydnee Rae Trub and her husband, Gib, of Atlantic Beach, FL, and Heather Lee McStowe and her husband, Phil, of Cushing, ME; daughter-in-law, Shellie Hescock, of Wilmington, NC; granddaughters, Taylor Marie Hescock, her husband, Nolan, and great grandson, Oslo, and Landen Marie Hescock, and her husband, Austin, both of Raleigh, NC; and grandson Alec Gibson Trub and his wife, Catherine, of Durham, NC.
The family has chosen to remember Glenna’s life privately at this time. A service will be planned at a later date and will be held in Holliston, MA.
Glenna will be laid to rest at Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston, MA.
