HCAT Show Wins National Award

Holliston Reporter

The Alliance for Community Media (ACM) is a national organization which supports the mission of community media across the country.  Each year they conduct a Hometown Media Award contest.  “Heartbeat of Holliston,” produced by Chryso Lawless, is a monthly magazine style show about the people and events in Holliston.  The show received a first place award in the category “Informational Talk Show Series.”   “Heartbeat of Holliston” reporter Melissa Kaspern traveled to the national ACM conference in Portland, Oregon this summer to accept the award.

Bruce Gilfoy, station manager, states “This was a great honor for HCAT TV and is an example of all of the excellent reporting and content that Holliston Cable Access does for our town.”

Recently the HCAT team celebrated the national recognition and held a volunteer appreciation dinner at the 45 Restaurant. Bruce Gilfoy shared these still photos. Thank you Bruce!
