HDAAC Initiatives

We have a lot of great initiatives coming up I wanted to bring to everyone’s attention. Thank you for your partnership and support, reach out with any questions!

1. Opioid settlement dollars are still available for community members through the Community Action Fund.

  • Check out the NEW Opioid PSA we created with special thanks to Fire Chief Cassidy, CAF Chair John Drohan, and HollistonHub for making that happen. The link brings you to the YouTube post from HollistonHub but it can also be found on our social media pages and HollistonHub social media to share from there.
  • A reminder, we also still have an opioid page on HDAAC’s website with lots of helpful information on this.
  • We encourage any sharing of this information to be paired with this text: Have you or a loved one been impacted by the opioid crisis, a substance use disorder, or addiction? See how to apply for financial assistance on HDAAC’s opioid website: https://hdaac.org/opioids/
  • There is also a graphic available with that message and a QR code that is best for print materials. We have that graphic printed on cardstock, stickers, and magnets at the office if anyone is interested in putting those in your school, business, building, etc. just let me know and I can drop some off.

2. We will be hosting an opioid workshop at The Center on Monday, March 31st from 2-3pm which will also be available live on Zoom and as a recording afterwards.

  • Blurb for this: Join us to explore the opioid crisis, its impact, and how HDAAC is creating change. Learn about safe opioid use, overdose prevention, and recovery options. The session ends with a Q&A featuring experts Dr. Liebermann and Lois. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and get involved! Come to The Center on Monday, March 31st at 2pm, or join us on Zoom by registering with this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/qzuDJMt1Qf-VIJjvHZhpZg

3. Stephen Hill is not only speaking with the high school students, but is hosting a community event Wednesday, March 26th from 6:30-8pm at the HHS auditorium.

  • Blurb for this: Join us, along with many Holliston partners, as we welcome Stephen Hill, founder of Speak Sobriety, a recovery coach, bestselling author, defense attorney, and a young person in recovery. Stephen’s message educates communities on mental health and substance use, offering practical tools for overcoming challenges and highlighting the ripple effect of our actions on others’ well-being. March 26th, 2025 @6:30-8pm, Holliston High School, free to attend! Sign up in 30 seconds with this link: https://forms.gle/rnoH5GjjFP9nTvsz9
