Holliston Garden Club Scholarship

This scholarship was founded by Dorothy (Dot) Stevens, a former Club president who recognized the importance of preserving our natural world and whose dream it was to encourage young people to pursue careers in horticulture. The scholarship began small, with money raised from raffles, plant sales, and donations.

It is awarded annually to a candidate planning to major in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Design Forestry, Environmental Science, Land Management or other garden-related field.

Who can apply: High school seniors or college students; Holliston residents only
Scholarship amount: $1000

Holyoke-based MiraVista Behavioral Health Center, a top provider of inpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment, as well as outpatient substance use services, joins TaraVista, its sister behavioral health hospital in Devens, in announcing the promotion of Sheila Crowley from Chief Admissions Director at MiraVista to Hospital Administrator/Chief Operating Officer for TaraVista. Ms. Crowley resides in Holliston.

New HHS Principal David List—Building Relationships

In only his third week as Principal of Holliston High School, David List is busy meeting with students, teachers, parents, and members of the community to gather their thoughts and begin building relationships. In his introductory letter to parents, List wrote, “It is a privilege to be part of a community that values education and fosters a nurturing environment for growth and learning.”
