If you are looking for a summer read that is 100% pure fun, then The Bodyguard is for you. The main ingredients are sunshine, sass, swooning and swagger. Like any romcom, it has a far-fetched plot, lots of banter, and a predictable ending, but it also had lots of lovable characters, nostalgia and hope. I usually go for more darkness in my books but this one hit me at just the right time – a time when I wanted to be lost in a blissfully light and happy novel.
Holliston Pops on Friday Night
The annual Holliston Pops concert returns this Friday night, June 9th (rain date Saturday, June 10th) at Kamitian Field. Tickets are adults, $15.00, and students/seniors $10.00. Gates open at 6:00 PM, with stadium seating.
Artists’ Day at the Farmers’ Market
Do we have any Monets, Van Goghs, Rembrandts or starving Norman Rockwells in town? Back in 1991, an event featuring local artists — “Artists on the Common” — was held on the Congregational Green.
