The Holliston High School Hockey program scored a victory by collecting
364 cans of soup at a recent home game to benefit the Holliston Pantry Shelf. Holliston Basketball collected 185 cans of soup, bringing the total collected to 549 items with an estimated value of more than $824.00. Snack it Right, a Holliston student-led organization, oversaw the competition. This recent competition was the fourth HHS Slugfest sponsored by Snack it Right.
Snack it Right chose to collect soup cans at this most recent Slugfest in support of Holliston Pantry Shelf’s upcoming “SOUPer Bowl” Fundraiser. The SOUPer Bowl will be held on TODAY, Saturday, February 1st at Christ The King Lutheran Church at 600 Central Street in Holliston, MA. Tickets are available at Coffee Haven, Superette, and the Town Clerk’s office.
“We are thrilled with the success Snack it Right has had with their Slugfest food drives,” said Keely Krantz, President of Holliston Pantry Shelf. “It’s truly remarkable that these students have partnered so effectively with HHS athletic programs to achieve such terrific results.”
