his spring the Holliston High School English Department held two writing contests, both sponsored by the Holliston Cultural Committee. One contest was for poetry, the other for essays. The topic for each was the same: “You’ve Got to Start Somewhere.”
HNN Great Pumpkin Rail Trail Walk October 31st
Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors invites you to join us at our Great Pumpkin Trail Walk on Sunday, October 31st from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Holliston Rail Trail. There are games set up along the first section of the trail up to the first bridge – great for young kids of all ages – and small prizes are distributed. The Great Pumpkin Trail Walk is an allergy-free way to celebrate Fall for the whole family.
Carnival and Light Show Meld – Save the Dates
The COVID-19 Pandemic still has its tentacles in planning and events, especially concerning those involving larger groups. Last year the local Lions Club cancelled its annual carnival due to Governor Baker’s stay-at-home orders. The local American Legion Post 47, equally affected, cancelled its Laser Light Show at Goodwill Park in July to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
