The Holliston Lions Club will be holding its annual youth speech contest on Saturday, November 15 this year. The contest is open to any high school student who resides in Holliston. This is a great opportunity for students to practice their public speaking skills in front of a friendly and supportive audience.
The speech topic this year is “What Can Past America Teach Future America”. The competition starts at the local club or school level and proceeds through several levels of competition ending several months later with a state wide competition.
The rules for the speech contest may be found on the MD33 Lions Website. Student in Holliston should reach out directly to this years’ speech contest Chair.
There are prizes and/or awards for each contestant at every level of the competition. Interested students should contact Holliston Lions Speech Contest Chairperson Tony Mistretta at anthony.mistretta@comcast.net for more information.
